Who

I approach photography as a way of exploring the relationship between human beings and the spaces they inhabit.

After beginning my photographic journey with film at the age of twenty, I returned to photography in 2025 after a long hiatus. This return has been a process of rediscovering not only the medium itself, but also a way of observing and questioning the world around me.

My work focuses mainly on urban environments, architecture, and the subtle dialogue between space and presence. Rather than documenting places, I seek to reveal the emotions, tensions, and ambiguities hidden within them: the moments when familiar spaces become unfamiliar, when structures influence human perception, and when absence can become a form of presence.

Through minimal compositions, geometric structures, and careful attention to light and silence, I explore the city as a psychological landscape — a place where architecture, memory, and human experience continuously interact.

My photographic projects investigate these relationships through different perspectives, from the perception of contemporary urban spaces to the traces left by human presence within them.

Born in Italy, Marco Dominici began photographing with film at the age of twenty. After a long break, he returned to photography in 2025. His work has since been recognized internationally and selected for exhibitions and photography festivals.
