A photographic project exploring the relationship between the individual and contemporary urban architecture through the Freudian notion of the "uncanny" (das Unheimliche): the familiar becoming strange, the unsettling emerging from the everyday.

The project does not document architecture but interrogates it, revealing how urban spaces shape, constrain, or liberate human experience. The visual dialectic between monumental architecture and human presence resolves into a contemplative dimension where new meanings and not-yet-formulated desires can emerge.

The project follows a dialectical structure: the Thesis (Volumes) presents the objective purity of urban mass; the Antithesis (Relations) introduces the human element and its relationship with those structures; finally, the Synthesis (Negative Space) resolves this tension through silence and absence. Here, the visual dialectic between monumental architecture and human presence opens into a contemplative space where new perceptions and unexpressed desires can emerge.
